Christmas in Review: Best Christmas Movies of 2024

Christmas in Review: Best Christmas Movies of 2024

It’s the best time of the year: Christmas movie time, that is! I felt like the new movies started even earlier this year (a couple of weeks before Halloween in Great American Family’s case).

Hallmark kept up with their impressive new movie lineup for the holidays. They also launched their rebranded new streaming service, Hallmark+, which had original new Christmas content with movies and shows. Great American Family was down a little this year from last. Lifetime’s new holiday movies were pretty low again this year. UPtv had a smaller amount as well (with most being previously aired movies from ION a couple of years ago). Between all four networks, they had a combined total of 89 new Christmas movies this year. Netflix and Hulu also had some new original Christmas movies, but I didn’t get around to including theirs.

My favorites have always been Hallmark, but this year, I actually felt like a majority of theirs fell flat. I actually liked Great American Family’s movies more than Hallmark’s this year. Overall, I was disappointed in many of Lifetime’s movies again this year. UPtv had quite a few duds for me this year (as is typical), but surprisingly, they also had some of my favorites from this year (even though most were previously aired movies and not new ones).

For those not as lucky as me to be able to catch all the new Christmas movies, I have come up with my top favorites for your reading pleasure. Trust me, you don’t want to miss these wonderful holiday stories full of love, laughter, (some tears), and all the fun holiday festivities!

Top 10 New Hallmark Christmas Movies

Without further ado, here are my “Hallmark Top 10” listed from 10th best to 1st best. This covers the typical Hallmark Christmas movies from across Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, and Hallmark+. It does not include the TV shows from Hallmark this year.

10. Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle

“Debbie Macomber’s Joyful Mrs. Miracle” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Rachel Boston, Pascal Lamothe-Kipness & Tanner Novlan. Three adult siblings return home to decide who will take over their grandmother’s board seat. When they can’t agree on anything, Mrs. Merkle (Boston) helps guide them.

I love the Mrs Miracle franchise, and this take with a younger Ms Merkle was fun. I love Rachel Boston, and the Mary Poppins/magical vibes were so fun. Liked how she helped mend a sibling rift, reconnect a lost love, and break through to a boy. All the side stories were woven together seamlessly. All in all, it was so well done and I enjoyed it from beginning to end!

9. A Reason for the Season

“A Reason for the Season” is a Hallmark Mysteries original movie starring: Taylor Cole & Kevin McGarry. To earn her trust fund, Eve (Cole) must complete acts of kindness to the people who saved her life the night she was born. She enlists the help of a local attorney (McGarry) to help.

This was such a good and original idea! Loved the backstory behind the lead and how she came into the world. Loved her heart for helping and giving back. The leads worked and looked so good together. There were even a couple of twists that I wasn’t expecting, but I absolutely loved the additions!

8. To Have and to Holiday

“To Have and to Holiday” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Madeleine Arthur, Robert Bazzocchi & Eric Close. When Celeste (Arthur) and Jason (Bazzocchi) get engaged after a quick couple-month fling, Celeste’s father and the Pastor (Close) put the couple through a marriage BootCamp test.

I absolutely loved this one! A spur-of-the-moment engagement and quick wedding were a fresh take. Loved the dynamics and comedic moments of the family, learning to accept the new fiancé, and the marriage bootcamp. I love that it brought the couple closer and prepared them quicker for marriage. Loved the lead’s relationship and that the old BF was never a threat or misunderstanding. I liked how the parents were all on board, minus the dad. It was a good contrast.

7. Operation Nutcracker

“Operation Nutcracker” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Ashley Newbrough & Christopher Russell. When an antique Nutcracker goes missing right before it’s set to be auctioned off, an event planner (Newbrough) and the heir (Russell) who owns the missing piece team up to track it down.

This one premiered on the Hallmark Movies Now app last year (I believe) and made its cable premiere this year. I love the male lead and enjoy the female enough, but wasn’t sure how I’d like this one. I loved it! Such a fun and unique story, and the characters made it so enjoyable to watch. I also liked the mystery element of trying to track down the missing Nutcracker in time.

6. A Carol for Two

“A Carol for Two” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Ginna Claire Mason & Jordan Litz. A talented singer (Mason), hoping to make it on Broadway, begins working at a Broadway restaurant with singing waiters.

I loved this Broadway/off-Broadway theme. The characters were great, and the relationship complications were funny. It was a bit much with the cousin taking all the leads’ credit all the time–felt very selfish and made him unlikable towards both leads, but he didn’t redeem himself a bit in the end. Didn’t like how the girl bailed for the big performance at the end, though. I did love watching their relationship.

5. Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story

“Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Hunter King & Tyler Hynes. Alana (King) and her family compete to be named the Kansas City Chiefs’ Fan of the Year, being judged by Derrick (Hynes).

This one had so much hype, and I understand why. It was so good! I’m not a Chiefs or football in general fan, but this story was so cute. The leads were perfect together and loved their authenticity! Loved all the family dynamics and the sports theme too. Such a fun one!

4. The Finnish Line

“The Finnish Line” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Kim Matula & Beau Mirchoff. Following in her father’s footsteps with dog sled racing, Anya (Matula) competes in a famous dog sled race in Finland over the holidays. After encountering some trouble, she reluctantly teams up with a reporter (Mirchoff) to finish the race.

Another travel movie in Finland. I loved the dog sledding theme. So fun and unique. Loved the girls’ friendship like sisterhood. Loved the lead’s spunk and straightforward talking, and determination. The secondary love story between the friend and cousin was so fun and comedic, and predictable, but so sweet. It was such a good story the whole way through!

3. The Christmas Quest

“The Christmas Quest” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Lacey Chabert & Kristoffer Polaha. An archaeologist (Chabert) and her ex-husband (Polaha) find themselves working together to search for legendary treasure in Iceland during Christmas.

I was really looking forward to this one. Two of my faves in their first movie together with a treasure hunt theme? Yes, please! I was hoping this would be another Pearl in Paradise esq movie, and it didn’t disappoint! I loved it! The mystery and quest were so fun to watch play out. I loved the Icelandic elements/location and that the leads were a divorced couple who found their way back together. It was such a fun and unique story.

2. Scouting for Christmas

“Scouting for Christmas” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Tamera Mowry-Housley & Carlo Marks. A single mom (Mowry-Housley) partners with her daughter’s favorite baker (Marks) for a class Christmas ball.

Some of the Tamera Mowry Christmas movies are my faves every year, so I was looking forward to this one, and it did not disappoint! Such a cute story. It took the well-known child making a wish for their parent to find love and make it original again. Liked the blended broken family. Having the child be hers by marriage adoption was a unique twist and brought something different to the story. My favorite part was that the falling out happened because of a misunderstanding/assumptions, versus people saying things in the heat of the moment. It felt unique and fresh and added more comedy to it. Such a good heartfelt story!

1. The Christmas Charade

“The Christmas Charade” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Rachel Skarsten & Corey Sevier. Librarian Whitney (SKarsten) finds herself mixed up in an FBI investigation when she accidentally sits at the wrong table during a blind date.

This was such a fun and fresh story. I love a good mystery, and this one did not disappoint. Mystery + FBI + mistaken identity + fake couple was so much fun. I loved the take on mistaken identity and having the girl be a pretend agent. It was such a fun story, and I really enjoyed the leads together in Jazz Ramsey, and having them team up again here was so fun. Might be my new favorite duo. Their chemistry was great, and the characters’ relationship felt authentic. It was so sweet.

Top 10 New Great American Family Christmas Movies

Great American Family had 17 new Christmas movies this year (down a little from last year). Here are my top 10-rated Great American Family movies from this past season.

10. I Heard the Bells

“I Heard the Bells” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Stephen Atherholt & Rachel Day Hughes. The true story of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and his inspiration in writing the carol ‘I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day’.

I love a good pretend-to-be dating story, and this was no exception. I loved that they both were trying to win people back. The fake engagement was hilarious, but it felt a little awkward that they didn’t correct things right off the bat on that one. Didn’t like some parts of the trying to win other partners back, particularly the misunderstanding at the end. But overall, this was a fun, cute one with comedic moments.

9. Coupled Up for Christmas

“Coupled Up for Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Sara Canning & Marcus Rosner. Two heartbroken strangers (Canning & Rosner) pretend to be dating to make their exes jealous.

I love a good period piece, especially if it’s a true story. This one was good. Being an 1800s piece, it was a bit sad and serious, which is to be expected. I enjoyed it, but it wouldn’t be one I’d want to watch every Christmas due to the serious death/war aspects. But it was a fun one to learn about. Would have to be in the mood to rewatch it.

8. A Cinderella Christmas Ball

“A Cinderella Christmas Ball” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Danica McKellar & Oliver Rice. Dance teacher, Chelsea (McKellar) travels to a small European city during Christmas to find her biological family. While there, she is recruited to teach the Prince (Rice) a traditional waltz.

The royal movies feel so overdone that I wasn’t sure this would be good…But I was pleasantly surprised. This one found a way to feel fresh. Loved the dance/ball aspects and the guy’s reluctance to learn the dance. I loved the adoption themes and the mystery of the lead trying to find her biological parents. It was such a cute one!

7. A Little Women’s Christmas

“A Little Women’s Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Jillian Murray, Trevor Donovan, Jen Lilley, Jesse Hutch, Laura Osnes & Julia Reilly. A modern-day retelling of Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women book, following Jo (Murray), who returns home to celebrate Christmas with her sisters Meg (Lilley), Beth (Osnes), and Amy (Reilly).

I was very excited for this one! I am a huge Little Women fan and was so eager to see so many of my faves all in one movie retelling this beautiful story. I did enjoy it, but it almost fell a bit flat to me. It felt like it moved at such a quick pace with super short scenes. It was hard to get a good feel of each of the sisters and their individual stories because there were so many, I think. Hard to find the time to fit it all in. I did really enjoy it, but it just didn’t hit all the hype of what I wanted it to be.

6. A Christmas Less Traveled

“A Christmas Less Traveled” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Candace Cameron Bure & Eric Johnson. As Desi (Bure) faces the decision to sell her father’s beloved classic truck, she embarks on a road trip with a stranger (Johnson) designed by her late father.

Loved this story and concept. The mysterious road trip and not knowing all the details was fun. It had a cool twist with the guy and what he was after. There were some heavier themes of sadness and grief, but it wasn’t overpowering. Overall, it was so fun movie with good mystery elements that I loved.

5. Home Sweet Christmas

“Home Sweet Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Candace Cameron Bure & Cameron Mathison. Sophie (Bure) returns to her hometown when she inherits half of her uncle’s maple farm. While in town, memories and sparks fly with her farm co-owner and childhood friend Sam (Mathison).

Such a cute, classic Christmas romcom. It was so sweet. Loved the connection and chemistry between the leads and their relationship timeline. It felt so real watching it. Loved how there wasn’t a huge negative aspect and how honest the characters were with each other. Liked that the other potential love interest wasn’t a threat at all and only made to be one in the lead’s head, and that it didn’t get dragged on too long. Such a fun one!

4. Once Upon a Christmas Wish

“Once Upon a Christmas Wish” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Mario Lopez & Courtney Lopez. Mayor Brian (Mario) loves his town as much as the residents love him. When an old childhood friend (Courtney) returns to town, Brian finds his old elementary Christmas wish list starts to magically come true.

This was so fun! Really enjoyed seeing real-life hubby and wife starring together. I had never seen Mrs Lopez before, but she was great! Loved that they were working together to stop the developers and not against each other. Loved the magical Christmas elements and dance themes too. It was such a cute and fun watch the whole way through.

3. Christmas Under the Northern Lights

“Christmas Under the Northern Lights” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Jill Wagner, Jesse Hutch, Lauren Holly & Bruce Boxleitner. When an author (Wagner) goes with her dad (Boxleitner) to his hometown for Christmas, she enlists a local tour guide’s (Hutch) help to see all the sights-including the Northern Lights.

I absolutely loved this pairing of the leads. The chemistry was great, and I loved watching their relationship. I liked the storyline and the side characters. The sweet nature and awe of the beauty of guy were so cute. The only downside (if you can call it that) was the girl’s obsession with the Northern Lights I didn’t like how she went on the other company tour near the end; it didn’t feel authentic, but she did turn it around quickly, which I liked.

2. A Vintage Christmas

“A Vintage Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Merritt Patterson & Christopher Russell. Town historian, Tessa (Patterson), must work on finding a solution with developer, Noah (Russell), who wants to replace an old post office building that she loves.

I was so excited to see two of my fave leads team up together, so I was looking forward to this one early on. The premise did initially feel like it would be too repetitive, but it was a new, fresh take on a common Christmas theme, which I really liked. I loved that they worked together to grant Christmas wishes together and it was unrelated to their disagreements on the building project. Loved that it focused more on community and friendship. The secondary characters were so cute and fun to watch their relationship bloom, too. I loved this one!

1. Get Him Back for Christmas

“Get Him Back for Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Alexa PenaVega & Carlos PenaVega. After a breakup, Bella (Alexa), a rising star singer, returns home for the holidays. She reconnects with her former writing partner, Jack (Carlos), to write a song to win her ex back.

I was most excited about this movie and absolutely loved it! Such a cute and feel-good movie. Loved the signing and Salvation Army/giving back themes. I really liked how the leads had a prior history of crushes that made it feel more realistic that they would end up together, and the song was really about them. I enjoyed all the side characters and family members. The PenaVegas are so cute, and I love watching them together. It felt so magical the whole way through…I only wish there had been more!

Top 10 New Christmas Movies – Other Networks

You can’t forget Lifetime and UPtv. Here are my Top 10 Christmas movie favorites from these networks, listed from least favorite to favorite.

10. Christmas in the Spotlight (Lifetime)

“Christmas in the Spotlight” is a Lifetime movie starring: Jessica Lord & Laith Wallschleger. A famous pop star (Lord) and a football player (Wallschleger) begin dating but face struggles and obstacles that try to keep them apart.

Inspired by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance, this one was a lot of fun. It did feel so familiar due to the inspiration behind it, but it was still such a fun watch. I hadn’t seen the male lead before, but I loved the family dynamics and how the leads fit so well into each other’s worlds. A true tale of love conquers all.

9. The Search for Secret Santa (UP TV)

“The Search for Secret Santa” is a UP TV movie starring: Skye Coyne, Alex Trumble & Jackee Harry. Reporter Sofia (Coyne) thinks she’s found the story of a lifetime in her new apartment building. With the encouragement of her boss (Harry) and help from a treasure hunter (Trumble), she tries to track down a mysterious secret Santa from years ago.

Previously released in 2022. I really liked this one. Not known leads, but they were good together. Quality wasn’t the greatest, but I enjoyed the story. I really liked the Christmas mystery and trying to figure out whodunnit. I wasn’t crazy about the friends of the female lead, but I liked her apartment/living situation, and that the lead guy had a checkered past. Overall, it was a fun one to watch.

8. Christmas in Rockwell (UP TV)

“Christmas in Rockwell” is a UP TV movie starring: Trish Stratus & Stephen Huszar. When a big movie star (Stratus) returns to the town that made her famous, she finds a connection with the local movie theater owner (Huszar).

Previously made in 2022. I love a good movie star story, and this one felt similar but still fresh at the same time. I really loved the genuine feeling of the couple. There was confusion and some secrets, but I loved how the guy’s secret didn’t come back to bite him and wasn’t the conflict. It was also fun to see the girl reconnect to her roots and find herself again. I liked the flashbacks of the movie as well.

7. Holiday in Happy Hollow (Lifetime)

“Holiday in Happy Hollow” is a Lifetime movie starring: Tamara Almeida & Cody Ray Thompson. A property developer (Almeida) takes a last-minute trip to her latest site when she discovers an oversight on who owns the property. She must work with the town’s historian (Thompson) to track down all the landowners and get them to sign over their rights.

This had many similar Christmas themes, but they had different twists on them, which was fun. I liked that most people were happy to have the new hotel come to town, versus trying to prevent it from happening. I liked watching the leads work together to piece the mystery of the 5 land plot owners together. The side stories were fun and complemented the main theme well. I was even surprised by the twist at the end with the lead man having a secret. It was a very fun story!

6. Christmas at Plumhill Manor (Lifetime)

“Christmas at Plumhill Manor” is a Lifetime movie starring: Maria Menounos & Kyle Pryor. When a NYC architect (Menousnos) inherits an English manor, she travels abroad for the holidays and begins embracing international life.

I didn’t have high hopes for this as I thought it sounded like a couple of others I’ve seen, but it quickly changed my mind. The characters and their interactions were so fun and entertaining to watch. I also liked the mystery aspect of the girl following clues her aunt left. It was such a fun and sweet story.

5. A Bluegrass Christmas (UP TV)

“A Bluegrass Christmas” is a UP TV movie starring: Amanda Jordan, David Pinard & Shaun Johnston. When Katie’s (Jordan) horse sanctuary faces closure, she teams up with Grant (Pinard) to hold a benefit concert. To succeed, she needs to convince her famous retired bluegrass-singing grandfather (Johnston) to perform again.

I wasn’t too sure about this one beforehand, but I absolutely LOVED it! It felt fresh but warm and inviting. I loved the family dynamics, and the lead girl was amazing. The two leads and their chemistry were so natural to watch. I liked the musical element. At times, the grandfather really bugged me, but he came around. It was such a warm family movie, and I really enjoyed it.

4. A Holiday Hideout (UP TV)

“A Holiday Hideout” is a UP TV movie starring: Arielle Kebbel & Collin Egglesfield. Federal Marshal Jesse (Kebbel) is tasked with hiding an informant (Egglesfield) until after Christmas, when he can testify against his mob boss.

Previously released on ION in 2021 (previously titled A Christmas Witness), this movie was intriguing to me because of its crime theme. This was so unique and fun. I loved that the guy was in witness protection and the US Marshall was the woman. It was more sexy/edgy, which was fun too. The two actors were great together. It was a fun story, and I really enjoyed watching it play out.

3. A Prince and Pauper Christmas (UP TV)

“A Prince and Pauper Christmas” is a UP TV movie starring: Brittany Underwood & Jonathan Stoddard. When an agent’s (Underwood) undercover con man goes missing, she recruits his doppelganger (Stoddard) to play the part, unaware he is a real-life prince.

Previously released on ION, I had heard of this one but really didn’t expect much out of it…boy was I wrong! It was so good! My favorite part was that it followed the prince pretending to be a con man and not the other way around, as is typical for The Prince and the Pauper. I loved that the love interest was an officer who fell for the prince. They made a great team, the actors were brilliant together, the story was well-written, and I loved it!

2. A Carpenter Christmas Romance (Lifetime)

“A Carpenter Christmas Romance” is a Lifetime movie starring: Sasha Pieterse & Mitchell Slaggert. A novelist (Pieterse) escapes to her family’s farmhouse and reunites with a carpenter (Slaggert) from her past who is rebuilding the town after a fire.

I was so excited for this one. Written by Sarah Drew, who I love and follow so to speak, on one of my faves from last year, A Cowboy Christmas Romance. This one followed suit with more edgy, sexy elements. It felt very authentic to real life, and I absolutely loved it! I also really enjoyed the two leads together–one girl from ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and a guy I had never seen before. It was such a good movie. And the sexy aspects didn’t take away from the story either; it was so well written and performed.

1. A Country Music Christmas (UP TV)

“A Country Music Christmas” is a UP TV movie starring: Alexandra Harris & Jonathan Stoddard. Songwriter Brooke (Harris) has a decision of a lifetime to make when a record executive offers her a recording contract that would mean leaving her studio partner and best friend, Chase (Stoddard), behind.

Country music and Christmas? Yes, please! This one was not what I was expecting, as it was more on the songwriting side. I loved that the lead girl wasn’t big on fame and didn’t want that for herself; that was a new take. The friends who love each other element was fun, and I liked the family dynamics of the girl. The music was amazing! I absolutely loved this one and wish it had been longer.

Honorable Mention – All Networks

It’s so hard to pick just 10 favorites from Hallmark, Great American Family, Lifetime, and UPtv. So here are some of my other favorite Christmas movies that I felt deserved an Honorable Mention. They are listed from my highest rating to lowest.

Leah’s Perfect Gift (Hallmark)

“Leah’s Perfect Gift” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Emily Arlook, Evan Roderick & Barbara Niven. Leah (Arlook), a Jewish woman, is excited to experience her first Christmas celebration with her boyfriend (Roderick) and meet his family. But things do not go as anyone planned.

One for the Hannukkah movies. I loved this one! I really liked the story of a Jewish girl meeting her boyfriend’s parents for the first time and experiencing her 1st Christmas. The story felt fresh, the characters were likable, and I enjoyed watching it all play out. The ups and downs felt like they weren’t expected, and I loved it! I liked how there wasn’t a big deal with his ex and how everything always turned out differently than the girl thought.

The Santa Class (Hallmark)

“The Santa Class” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Kimberley Sustad & Benjamin Ayres. The owner (Sustad) of a struggling Santa school hires a new instructor (Ayres) to try and win a competition for the best Santa school.

This one was unique and fun! I liked that there was more comedy, and the Santa school was such a fun and new take. It felt so original. I enjoyed watching the leads and rooting for them to win and work together. Loved Paul Campbell’s cameos as himself–hilarious. The wide range of people training to be Santa was relatable and fun, and I loved that they stuck with what made each of them unique.

Hanukkah on the Rocks (Hallmark)

“Hanukkah on the Rocks” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Stacy Farber & Daren Kagasoff. Tory (Farber), a recently fired lawyer, gets a job at a bar and helps create Hanukkah celebrations there.

Another Hanukkah movie, this one I wasn’t sure about at first, but it quickly won me over. Loved the variety of characters and their jobs/personalities and how they all came together to create a special Hanukkah season for everyone. It was enjoyable, and I got invested in the characters and what was going to happen next.

Following Yonder Star (Hallmark)

“Following Yonder Star” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Brooke O’Dorsay & John Brotherton. Dealing with the fallout of a scandal, a famous actress (O’Dorsay) escapes to an inn for the holidays. As she finds her way in the real world, she starts falling for the inn owner (Brotherton).

I was excited for this new DaySpring feature, and it didn’t disappoint. I loved the actress element and having to prove to herself who she is. It felt authentic and was funny (how the characters reacted to a famous actress). I loved how genuine the lead guy was and so gracious with her, and not wanting to know about her scandal. I felt the sister came on a bit strong, but it was realistic. I liked the God references and elements, but it wasn’t too many, so not off-putting to nonbelievers. The only critique I have is that I didn’t like how the lead gave up her career at the end. She could have done both.

Confessions of a Christmas Letter (Hallmark)

“Confessions of a Christmas Letter” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Angela Kinsey, Alec Santos & Lillian Doucet-Roche. Settie (Kinsey) hires a struggling writer (Santos) to pen her family’s Christmas card newsletter in the hopes of winning a contest.

I really didn’t think this one was going to be up my alley going into it, and even a few minutes in, it felt forced and very over-the-top unrealistic. However, it turned around, and I really enjoyed it! It was heavier on the great comedy aspect. Despite the comedy, there were still such great heartfelt moments! I liked how there wasn’t a typical down low moment and how the deception of the fake engagement, etc, never got out to the neighbors. It was funny and unique!

Trivia at St. Nick’s (Hallmark)

“Trivia at St. Nick’s” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Tammin Sursok & Brant Daugherty. Celeste (Sursok) is determined to win the annual Christmas trivia contest at a local bar for the first time, which includes working with a free spirit (Daugherty) to do so.

A Pretty Little Liars Reunion that was so much fun! The Christmas Trivia theme was different and unique. I liked how the leads collided and then ultimately meshed to work together. It was so enjoyable to watch from beginning to end.

My Sweet Austrian Holiday (Hallmark)

“My Sweet Austrian Holiday” is a Hallmark Mystery original movie starring: Brittany Bristow & Will Kemp. After inheriting a family chocolate shop in Vienna, Charlotte works to make it profitable (Bristow). She faces a challenge when a charming man (Kemp) comes along has just taken over his father’s company, which just so happens to want to take over Charlotte’s shop.

Loved these two leads together and the Austrian element. It was such a cute story, and how they incorporated the girl from America was fun. I liked how they handled the building/work issue between the two. It was a big deal, but wasn’t that big a deal in the end. It was so fun to watch.

Engaged by Christmas (Lifetime)

“Engaged by Christmas” is a Lifetime original movie starring: Brittany Bristow & Marcus Rosner. In an effort to save her relationship, a woman (Bristow) tracks down a romance advice columnist who gave her bad advice…only to discover the woman is actually a man (Rosner).

Love these actors and the storyline. Although it felt very familiar, like I’ve seen something similar before. I really liked the girl’s new business and how the guy was helping her. Their relationship felt very real and natural. It was fun watching them grow together and individually.

Falling Like Snowflakes (Hallmark)

“Falling Like Snowflakes” is a Hallmark Channel original movie starring: Rebecca Dalton & Marcos Rosner. A photographer (Dalton) enlists the help of a childhood friend (Rosner) to find and capture a photo of a rare snowflake.

I thought this story was so unique and cute. Really enjoyed the two leads in this together and the adventure of looking for a snowflake. It was a lighthearted and fun story. I really enjoyed it.

Tails of Christmas (Great American Family)

“Tails of Christmas” is a Great American Family original movie starring: Ash Tsai & Eric Guilmette. Caleb (Guilmette), an Army veteran, volunteers at an animal shelter while he rehabs an injury and looks to find his next venture outside of the military.

I was a bit apprehensive about this one, but I really enjoyed it. I liked the dog shelter and vet trying to find his way theme. The leads had good chemistry, and their relationship felt very genuine. There was also a small faith element that was different and not overdone. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the guy’s strained relationship with his family; there just never felt like a good reason why it was there to begin with, and it wasn’t explained the best.

One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is Christmas movies. I absolutely love all the new Christmas movies that come out, and I love re-watching my favorites from previous years. I live for my Christmas movie marathons every year! Did you have a favorite new Christmas movie from this past season? Let me know in the comments below.

Sincerely, Stephanie logo
